1. Make yourself ready before you talk
Many people start talking right after getting on stage, which is a sign of insecurity and fear..
Walk on stage, take a deep breath, find your place, wait few minutes and start. This might sound a bit awkward, but it will show the audience you’re confident.
2. Be there to give, not to take
People can tell whether the speaker is a giver or taker, and they are more likely to trust a giver, the one who gives them value, teaches them something different, and inspires them.
3. Eye Contact
Many people think that scanning the audience is the perfect way to interact with people. However, this can be one of the reasons that disconnect us from the audience.
Make an eye contact which each one of the audience.
4. “Thank the audience” for their time
Say “thank you” when you’re done. You will receive an applause which is considered as a gift, and by saying “thank you”, you are expressing how grateful you are for it.
